Professional Summary
With 10 years of professional experience in Poland, USA, and United Kingdom, Roman Halat brings his extensive knowledge of architecture, planning, interior design, and sustainable development. Roman has diversified his professional career by working for large corporate company (HOK), small private practice (3xARC), medium size commercial firm (FPA), eventually starting his own practice (RHA) in 2008. His experience varies from large mixed-use developments in United Arab Emirates, through office buildings, and high-end private residential projects in London. Roman thinks that architecture must be equally beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It needs to be customized for its final users, their needs, culture, and lifestyle. He approaches each project individually, with thorough analysis of existing context, local regulations, clients’ requirements, ideas, and budget. The final solution is an outcome of careful design process and close cooperation with the client. Roman believes that sustainable design can improve our environment, lower energy use, bills, and provide a healthier living, working, and leisure atmosphere. Wherever practical, he tries to implement renewable or low energy technologies into buildings.
